Supreme Court grants Commission’s Motion to Accept Stipulation to Permanent Resignation from Judicial Office in Lieu of Further Disciplinary Proceedings concerning Columbus Municipal Court Judge Javier Lozano, Supreme Court Docket No. 29,264, JSC Inquiry No. 2014-001. On January 9, 2014, the Commission had filed a Verified Petition for Immediate Temporary Suspension in the matter with the Supreme Court, which was still pending when this resignation stipulation was filed. The Supreme Court order makes Lozano’s resignation permanent, forever barring him from ever holding judicial office in New Mexico again, and unseals the Supreme Court’s file in the disciplinary matter. All public documents are available from the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office (505-827-4860).
